FinServe MarketPlace has a membership of over 18,000 business finance ISO and brokers which has been built over the past 14+ years. We recommend various vetted and qualified lenders to ISOs and brokers like you. Before FinServe MarketPlace recommends a lender, we do a full evaluation much like we’ve done in various other industries in years past. In years past, our founder, Steve Conner has been involved in venture capital deals. Identifying and vetting direct lenders who are a good fit for operational, marketing technology, and sales enablement programs is what Steve Conner does best. When FinServe MarketPlace recommends a direct lender, you can be assured a quality, high integrity partner for your client’s financing needs.
Here are some tips for those Business Finance ISOs who are just getting started
- Set up a website – There are a number of reasons to set up a website. I’ll mention a couple reasons herem including one you may not already realize.
- You need an online storefront for your clients. If you either do not have one or it is unprofessional looking, your potential clients will be severely limited. The clients you might have a chance with are those who are desperate and likely have gone through many ISOs/brokers trying to find funding unsuccessfully. However, those clients who are valuable will not do business with you if you don’t appear professional.
- High quality recommended lenders will not partner with you unless you have a professional website. Sure there are some that will take your file, however your relationship with these funders won’t last long because the few client files you’ll be sending them will be of low quality, deferring to the first point above.
- Set up a company email – No I do not mean ABCFunder@gmail….
- I’ve mentioned the same point regarding setting up a website. The clients you might have a chance with are those who are desperate, this will not be a good use of your time, they’ll run you ragged with no successful outcomes.
- Again, high quality recommended lenders will not partner with an ISO/broker who has a gmail, ymail, or other free email service. You must have a company email address such as Jondoe@abcfunder.com…
Currently, about 25% of brokers in the industry are early in their business finance careers and do not have a professional website and/or company email address. If this is you, I hope this helps you decide on making a shift. The longer you wait, the less likely you’ll make it in the business finance industry.
